What Are the Penalties for DWI in Texas?
There are a number of important factors that must be involved in order for a DWI arrest to be lawful. Your charges could be dropped, or your case dismissed, if it can be proven that the evidence against you is faulty or invalid. For example, law enforcement officers are not supposed to make DWI stops unless they witness evidence of intoxication, or someone has called in to report the suspected drunk driver. In order to actually arrest someone on charges of DWI, the individual must fail any of several forms of field sobriety tests and / or a blood alcohol content (BAC) test. In most other cases, you may be able to fight your DWI based on police misconduct.
First DWI
